Shaping the future: insights from Egis' Young Leader Marcela!

Marcela Figueiredo Lopes, a Project Manager at Egis in Brazil, plays an active role in shaping the future of the Group. As a member of the Egis New Bees Team and a participant in strategic discussions, she represents the voice of young professionals, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas at the forefront. In this interview, Marcela shares her experiences, insights and thoughts on how Egis empowers its young talent and prepares them for future challenges. 



You are a member of the Egis New Bees Team. We'd love to hear more about your role in this network and how working with other young employees has enriched your career at Egis!

As for the Group, I don't have a defined role. We define the activities and priorities depending on the demand. This is a very positive point because we can adjust the group's schedules and commitments. The Group is extremely enriching because we can communicate with people from all over the world and exchange experiences.

In 2023, you were one of the young executives who had the opportunity to discuss the Group's strategy with top management and help define the Group's vision for 2050. What did you learn from that experience?

The experience of being together was very valuable and rewarding. To summarise, we explored the trends and opportunities of the future to prepare for what lies ahead, as well as developing an open and adaptable mindset to deal with the changes and opportunities that arise over time.

In general, how do you perceive Egis' commitment to valuing the young people who join the Group and enabling them to make an active contribution to the future of the company?

The Egis Group is extremely concerned about the future and its professionals. In the various activities, young people can bring a valuable combination of innovation, adaptability and new perspectives by exploiting creativity, helping to grow and adapt in an environment of constant change.
