About Us

Egis is a leading global architecture, consulting, construction engineering and operating firm. We work side by side with clients to build a more balanced, sustainable and resilient world.

Egis has acquired Omnia Projects, a UK-based engineering consultancy specialising in electricity Transmission and Distribution (T&D).

Established in 2012, Omnia Projects is a respected specialist in T&D engineering, project management and technical assurance. With over 110 staff the company has delivered critical infrastructure for clients including National Grid, helping to shape the UK’s evolving energy system.

About the Role

Egis is supporting the delivery of a complex, multi-billion-pound portfolio of major infrastructure through increasingly programmatic and collaborative delivery models. Strong technical assurance and high-quality insight are essential to protect programme integrity and support confident decision-making.

The Technical Analysis Lead is a senior specialist role within the PMO. You will provide independent, evidence-based technical assurance of schedules, delay events, tender submissions and material programme changes, while translating detailed analysis into clear insight at project, programme and portfolio level.

Acting independently from delivery, you will be a trusted technical authority for governance forums, commercial decision-making and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent technical assurance of delay events from a programme and schedule perspective, testing cause, effect and critical-path impact.

  • Validate the quality and completeness of contemporaneous evidence and challenge assumptions, logic, sequencing and modelling approaches.

  • Assess schedule structure, logic integrity, constraints, float paths and interfaces, identifying weaknesses and unrealistic assumptions.

  • Test schedule robustness at baseline, re-baseline and recovery stages, providing early warning of technical schedule risk.

  • Evaluate tender and proposal schedules, benchmarking durations, productivity assumptions and sequencing against established norms.

  • Identify optimism bias, under-developed logic and high-risk assumptions, presenting clear evidence-based findings to commercial and governance teams.

  • Support decisions on change, intervention, re-baselining and recovery strategy, clearly separating technical fact from opinion or assumption.

  • Translate assurance outputs and performance data into programme and portfolio insight, including trends, recurring weaknesses and systemic issues.

  • Share learning, comparative analysis and benchmarking across projects and contractors to support delivery excellence.
