About the Role

The Senior Stakeholder & Public Relations Coordinator is responsible for managing all stakeholder and public interface activities within the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Project. The role ensures effective coordination with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), related government authorities, and the public to maintain clear communication, timely approvals, and proactive issue resolution. The position focuses on minimizing disruptions to operations while sustaining positive community relations and reinforcing the project’s professional image.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

Identify, map, and analyze stakeholders - coordinate closely with PWA (Ashghal), Kahramaa, and municipal authorities to secure approvals, resolve interface issues, and ensure continuous engagement.

Public Communication:

Prepare and issue press releases, traffic diversion notices, and awareness materials; handle public inquiries and complaints through Ashghal’s Call Centre and project hotlines.

Permitting & Interface Management:

Manage submissions and approvals through QPRO, QDRS, Kahramaa, and Qatar Rail and to ensure compliance with all permit conditions and renewals.

Reporting & Documentation:

Compile daily, weekly, and monthly stakeholder and PR reports, maintain complaints and communication logs, and track KPIs related to engagement performance.

Authority & Community Liaison:

Conduct regular meetings and visits with authorities and community representatives to address issues, align communications, and maintain adherence to Ashghal standards.

 


What do we need from you

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (relevant field).
  • Bilingual proficiency (Arabic & English) – verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated experience in Stakeholder Management, Public Relations, and Authority Liaison for major infrastructure or road projects in Qatar.
  • Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with:
  • Ashghal systems: QPRO, QDRS, CRMS, and Complaints
  • Kahramaa Water & Electricity Permitting and other authority systems.

Key Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office, documentation, and visual reporting.
  • In-depth understanding of authority procedures and permit workflows.
  • Time management, organizational, and leadership abilities with the capacity to work independently or in teams.
