About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Road Engineer to join our team in Alexandria, Egypt. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and execution of complex road infrastructure projects in the region.
- Lead the design and development of railway project, ensuring compliance with local and international standards
- Manage and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and environmental specialists
- Conduct detailed site investigations and analyze data to inform road design decisions
- Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates for road projects
- Oversee construction activities, ensuring quality control and adherence to project timelines and budgets
- Collaborate with government agencies and stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and permits
- Implement innovative solutions to optimize road design, considering factors such as safety, efficiency, and sustainability
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in road engineering technologies and best practices
What do we need from you
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 15 years of experience in road engineering and construction, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects
- Advanced knowledge of road design software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities
- In-depth knowledge of road design standards, specifications, and pavement design
- Expertise in environmental impact assessments for road projects
- Familiarity with local regulations and construction practices in Egypt
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Relevant certifications in road engineering and construction management are highly desirable
