About the Role
We are seeking a Senior ELV Engineer to join our organization in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of Extra Low Voltage systems for commercial and residential projects. You will be responsible for ensuring all ELV installations meet international standards and local regional regulations while maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale projects and mentor junior engineering staff.
- Design and develop comprehensive ELV system solutions including fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and building automation systems
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD and BIM software
- Coordinate with MEP teams and other stakeholders to ensure seamless system integration and compliance with project requirements
- Conduct site inspections and supervise ELV installations to verify adherence to design specifications and quality standards
- Analyze project requirements and develop cost-effective solutions while maintaining technical excellence
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient project delivery
- Ensure all work complies with regional building codes, safety regulations, and international standards
- Prepare technical reports, test certificates, and commissioning documentation
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and installation teams
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to address technical queries and resolve issues
- Stay current with industry advancements and emerging ELV technologies
What do we need from you
**Required Qualifications:**
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in ELV engineering and system design
- Proven expertise in fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and building automation
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, BIM software, and electrical design tools
- Comprehensive knowledge of UAE building codes, NFPA standards, and international electrical regulations
- Demonstrated project management experience with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in preparing technical specifications and engineering documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience with advanced building management systems and IoT integration
- Familiarity with project management software and tools
- Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green building standards
- Experience mentoring and leading technical teams
- Professional certifications in electrical engineering or ELV systems
- Previous experience working on large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects in the Middle East region
