Senior Civil Engineer (Infrastructure - Site Supervision)

The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for supervising and managing civil engineering works related to the infrastructure-Utilities works such Sewer Scheme Supervision Project. This role requires an experienced engineer with extensive knowledge of sewer network, Storm water network, Water Supply network, 11KV, Telephone network, ...etc. for construction and infrastructure projects in the Project

• Oversee the construction of sewer networks, Storm water network, Water Supply network, 11KV, Telephone network, Geogrid walls, Internal Roads  ...etc. including pipeline laying, manhole construction, and micro-tunneling.
• Review and approve construction materials, methods, and method statements.
• Ensure that all construction activities comply with project specifications, standards, and OH&S requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of the works and materials.
• Review and approve shop drawings and other submittals, ensuring compliance with the design.
• Monitor and report on the progress of the works, providing updates to the Project Manager and Ministry representatives.
• Coordinate with contractors, resolving any technical issues that arise during construction.
• Coordinate with Local Authorities (such DEWA, DCD, DM), for Construction NOCs and Handing over and resolving any technical issues
• Ensure that the project is completed to the highest quality standards and within the agreed timeline.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on infrastructure projects
• Proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure projects in urban environments
• Advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, particularly in infrastructure design and development
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
• Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams
• In-depth understanding of urban planning and development principles
• Experience with sustainable engineering practices and green infrastructure solutions
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE (preferred Dubai)
• Experience in the GCC region, with local experience in Bahrain being an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control practices
• Solid understanding of financial management and resource planning within an engineering consultancy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
