About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our professional team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying high-quality decorative and protective coatings to various surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and removing old paint or wallpaper
- Mix and match paints according to specifications and color requirements
- Apply primers, paints, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Ensure proper coverage and finish quality on all painted surfaces
- Create decorative finishes such as faux painting, texturing, or stenciling when required
- Inspect completed work for defects and touch up as necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures when handling paints and equipment
- Collaborate with team members and other trades to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
- Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed
- Adapt painting techniques to accommodate Abu Dhabi's climate conditions
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and supervisors
What do we need from you
- Proven experience (2-3 years minimum) in professional painting
- Proficiency in various painting techniques for different surfaces and materials
- Strong knowledge of paint types, mixing, color matching, and application methods
- Familiarity with safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and project plans
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work in various positions and handle painting equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in painting is preferred
- Safety certifications related to working with hazardous materials is a plus
- Knowledge of different paint types and their applications (e.g., oil-based, water-based, enamel)
- Familiarity with surface preparation techniques for various materials
- Understanding of color theory and design principles
- Ability to estimate paint quantities and project timelines
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Efficient and organized work habits
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including high temperatures, and at heights when necessary
