About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman - Fabrication to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing fabrication projects, ensuring high-quality output, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Supervise and coordinate fabrication teams to meet production goals and quality standards
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan and execute fabrication projects
- Allocate resources, assign tasks, and schedule work to optimize productivity and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the fabrication process
- Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maintain project timelines
- Train and mentor team members on fabrication techniques, safety procedures, and best practices
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline production processes and improve overall efficiency
- Manage inventory and order materials as needed to support fabrication projects
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports and production logs
What do we need from you
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the fabrication industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Proven track record of successfully managing fabrication projects and teams
- Extensive knowledge of fabrication techniques, processes, and quality control procedures
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Excellent understanding of safety regulations and protocols in the fabrication industry
- Proficiency in project management and team leadership
- Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and collaborate with diverse teams
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical degree in fabrication preferred
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS, OSHA) are highly desirable
- In-depth knowledge of metal fabrication, welding processes, and industrial safety standards
- Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software and production management systems is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as project demands require
