Project Overview: The King Salman Park (KSP) project is a flagship initiative under Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to transform Riyadh into a leading global city. Spanning an impressive 16.9 km², King Salman Park will be one of the world’s largest urban parks, blending cultural, recreational, and environmental amenities. The project will be home to iconic cultural spaces, residential areas, and integrated commercial hubs, alongside a focus on sustainability and biodiversity. It is a transformative urban development that will shape the future of Riyadh and enhance the quality of life for its residents.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Landscape Architect with extensive experience in large-scale urban projects to join the King Salman Park project team. The Senior Landscape Architect will play a critical role in ensuring that the landscape design aligns with the project’s sustainability targets, regulatory requirements, and the overall master plan vision. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the world’s most significant urban developments, shaping the future of Riyadh and its residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage landscape architecture tasks, ensuring the designs align with the project’s vision, regulatory requirements, and sustainability objectives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to review and validate landscape designs, technical specifications, and calculations.
• Oversee the coordination of landscape design packages and resolve issues that arise during the design and construction phases.
• Conduct site analyses and ensure designs meet environmental, cultural, and functional needs.
• Prepare and review reports, including design evaluations, gap analyses, and recommendations for optimizing landscape designs.
• Work closely with the Program Management Office (PMO) and client teams to ensure timely delivery and alignment with project milestones.
• Provide strategic input and guidance to ensure that landscape designs contribute to the park's sustainability, biodiversity, and overall vision.
• Facilitate workshops and design presentations, ensuring key stakeholders are aligned with the landscape design direction.

Key Features of the Project:

• Creation of iconic cultural and civic spaces, residential communities, and integrated commercial areas within a world-class urban park.
• A strong focus on sustainability, including the planting of 600,000 trees, promoting biodiversity, and reducing urban heat.
• Development of innovative mobility solutions and pedestrian-friendly designs, enhancing the overall experience of the park.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in landscape architecture, with significant involvement in large-scale urban projects or public parks.
• Proven experience in the design, implementation, and management of landscape architecture projects, preferably in the Middle East region.
• Strong knowledge of landscape sustainability practices, including environmental design and green building principles.
• Excellent understanding of local and international codes, guidelines, and regulatory requirements related to landscape architecture.
• Ability to lead and coordinate complex multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple design packages.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders, present design ideas, and facilitate workshops.
• Experience in preparing technical reports, design evaluations, design review, technical reviews and gap analyses.
