About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Engineer – Structural Steel to join our Dubai team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in bridge projects and a solid background in structural steel fabrication, erection, and inspection. A valid UAE Driving License is mandatory for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain the project’s Quality Management System in compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
Review, interpret, and ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and relevant standards for structural steel works.
Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials, fabricated steel structures, and on-site installations.
Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test records, NCRs, and corrective actions.
Coordinate with project teams, clients, and third-party inspectors to ensure smooth quality control processes.
Monitor welding, bolting, and coating activities to ensure adherence to applicable codes and standards.
Ensure proper calibration of inspection and testing equipment.
Provide technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors on quality-related matters.
Participate in internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
What do we need from you
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE).
4 – 8 years of experience in QA/QC for structural steel works, specifically in bridge projects.
Preferred certifications: CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, NACE, BGAS, FROCIO.
UAE experience preferred.
Own car and valid UAE Driving License (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of relevant international standards (AWS D1.1, AISC, ASTM, BS EN, ISO).
Proficient in preparing and reviewing ITPs, method statements, and material submittals.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
