About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical HSE Engineer for our operations in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. This is an excellent opportunity for a UAE National to join our organization and play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our health, safety, and environmental standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and best practices.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard identification across all operational areas
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with UAE and GCC regulations
- Perform regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, document findings, and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, records, and reports for regulatory compliance and internal review
- Provide HSE training and awareness programs to employees at all levels
- Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Collaborate with management and operational teams to identify and mitigate safety risks
- Ensure emergency response procedures are in place and conduct regular drills and simulations
- Stay current with changes in HSE regulations and industry best practices
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and safety consultants
What do we need from you
- Proven experience in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management or a related field
- Strong knowledge of UAE labor law, occupational health and safety regulations, and GCC standards
- Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation
- Experience conducting safety audits and inspections
- Proficiency in HSE documentation, record management, and reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Ability to develop and deliver HSE training programs
- Knowledge of emergency response and business continuity procedures
- Familiarity with HSE management systems and safety management software (preferred)
- Experience in industrial, construction, or manufacturing sectors (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HSE-related software tools (preferred)
