We are seeking an experienced, strategic Vice President of Talent for the Americas to design and lead talent acquisition and talent management for North and South America operations. This leader will build scalable, inclusive talent programs, partner with business leaders to drive workforce planning, and strengthen employer brand and leadership capabilities across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & leadership
- Develop and execute a unified talent strategy for the Americas aligned with global people strategy and regional business goals.
- Lead a regional talent team (recruiting, talent partners, L&D specialists, people analytics) and act as a visible talent executive to business leaders.
- Talent acquisition
- Own full-cycle recruitment strategy for the region: senior executive search, high-volume hiring, specialist roles, and campus/early talent programs.
- Build a regional employer brand and candidate experience that attracts diverse, high-caliber talent.
- Implement metrics-driven sourcing, recruiting operations, and hiring process improvements (time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, offer-acceptance).
- Manage relationships with external search partners, RPO vendors, and universities.
- Talent management & development
- Create and scale career frameworks, performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and internal mobility programs across markets.
- Partner with business leaders to identify critical roles, high-potential employees, and tailored development paths.
- Oversee learning strategy for leadership and technical skills, and ensure local regulatory/compliance training needs are met.
- People analytics & workforce planning
- Use people data to inform workforce planning, hiring forecasts, retention strategies, and program ROI.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on talent KPIs and risks.
- Operations, compliance & budget
- Manage regional talent budgets, recruitment technology, HRIS integration, and ensure compliance with local employment laws and data privacy requirements.
- Act as trusted advisor to regional and global HR team, business heads, finance, and legal.
- 10+ years of progressive talent/people leadership experience with responsibility for both talent acquisition and talent management; experience operating across multiple countries in the Americas strongly preferred.
- Proven track record building and scaling recruiting and development programs for fast-growing or matrixed organizations.
- Demonstrated success driving executive search, talent pipelines, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, tax, benefits and compliance considerations across North and South American jurisdictions (or experience working with local experts).
- Data-driven decision maker with experience using people analytics and HR technology (ATS, LMS, HRIS). SmartRecruiters and Oracle HCM desired.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills
- Fluent in English; Ability to speak Spanish would be a plus.
- Experience leading and developing distributed teams and managing external vendor relationships.
