We are seeking a senior leader to serve as Vice President & Practice Lead – Municipal Infrastructure (Roads & Complete Streets), responsible for building, leading, and growing Egis’s municipal roads and complete streets practice across Ontario.


About the Role

This is a senior leadership role that combines executive accountability with recognized technical authority. You will lead a diverse portfolio of municipal infrastructure projects ranging from early planning and Class EA studies through detailed design and construction, while strengthening Egis’s reputation as a trusted partner to Ontario municipalities.

You will be accountable for practice leadership, people development, project delivery, and financial performance, while maintaining hands-on involvement in complex and high-profile assignments. This role plays a pivotal part in advancing complete streets, multimodal corridors, and community-focused municipal infrastructure across the province.

You will oversee and inspire multidisciplinary teams primarily based in Ottawa and the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, supporting the delivery of projects that enhance safety, accessibility, and everyday mobility for communities.

Key Responsibilities

Practice and Strategic Leadership

  • Lead and evolve Egis’s Municipal Infrastructure Roads and Complete Streets practice across Ontario, positioning the firm as a leader in people-focused municipal mobility
  • Establish and execute a clear practice vision aligned with market trends, client needs, and organizational strategy
  • Build and sustain a high-performing culture centred on technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Operational and Financial Accountability

  • Take full accountability for practice-level financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, forecasting, and resource utilization
  • Oversee project delivery across a wide range of scales and complexities, ensuring quality, consistency, and client satisfaction
  • Ensure robust quality management processes are implemented and followed across all assignments

Client and Market Leadership

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, public sector clients, and industry partners across Ontario
  • Act as a trusted advisor for municipal clients on roadway, complete streets, and public realm initiatives
  • Lead and support pursuits for major municipal infrastructure projects, including roadway reconstruction, corridor improvements, active transportation networks, intersections, and streetscapes

Technical Leadership and Mentorship

  • Serve as a recognized technical authority in municipal roadway and multimodal corridor design
  • Provide senior technical direction on complex assignments while maintaining hands-on involvement where appropriate
  • Mentor and coach engineers, designers, and project managers, fostering strong technical judgement and delivery excellence
  • Guide technical delivery across a broad range of municipal roadway, complete streets, and public realm projects

What do we need from you

  • Professional Engineer licensed in Ontario
  • Extensive senior experience in municipal roadway and municipal infrastructure planning, design, and delivery
  • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams within a consulting engineering environment
  • Strong technical foundation with demonstrated credibility in municipal roadway and complete streets projects
  • Established relationships with Ontario municipalities and public sector clients
  • Solid understanding of consulting business fundamentals, including project delivery, financial performance, and profit and loss accountability
  • Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset
