About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Utility Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and optimizing utility systems that support our port and terminal infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, organizational skills, and a commitment to ensuring reliable and efficient utility management in a dynamic port environment.

  • Design, install, and maintain electrical, water, HVAC, and other utility systems across port and terminal facilities
  • Conduct regular inspections and diagnostic assessments of utility infrastructure to identify potential issues and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal system performance and minimize downtime
  • Troubleshoot utility system failures and coordinate with maintenance teams to execute timely repairs
  • Ensure all utility systems comply with local, regional, and international safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor utility system performance using SCADA and other monitoring technologies to optimize efficiency
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and recommendations for infrastructure upgrades and modifications
  • Collaborate with operations, safety, and management teams to plan and execute infrastructure projects
  • Analyze utility consumption data and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency
  • Respond to emergency situations involving utility system failures and implement corrective actions

What do we need from you

  • Proven experience (minimum 12 years) in utility systems management, maintenance, or engineering within port, terminal, or industrial environments
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, water distribution, HVAC systems, and hydraulic systems
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing complex utility infrastructure issues
  • Experience with SCADA systems, maintenance management software, and industrial control systems
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design and documentation software
  • Comprehensive understanding of port and terminal operations and infrastructure requirements
  • Knowledge of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices for utility management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and project coordination abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly
  • Preferred: Certification in electrical systems, HVAC, or industrial maintenance
  • Preferred: Experience with renewable energy systems or sustainable utility solutions
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Middle Eastern port operations and regional infrastructure standards
