We are now looking for a Trainee / Apprentice Building Surveyor to join our team at T&A in Edinburgh or Glasgow. About the Role

As a trainee / apprentice building surveyor, you will undertake a relevant degree in Building Surveying and will have the ambition to work hard, learn and succeed in a dynamic professional environment. The company will invest in you to develop into a commercial professional capable of undertaking the cost management role on construction projects. Time, care and attention will be given to you by our senior management team throughout your training.

You will be an integral part of the team and business and your approach will represent T&A’s company values. You will establish strong, supportive, professional relationships with colleagues, clients and the wider project teams built on mutual respect, trust and integrity all whilst contributing to Thomas and Adamson’s strategic business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the Building Surveying team on general project and survey works.
  • Represent the company values at all times and bring a positive professional manner.
  • Be responsible, self-motivated and work well with team members.
  • Have an understanding of Auto-cad.
  • Work towards achieving a building surveyor degree.

 


What do we need from you

 Year 1:

• SQA Highers at ABBB or equivalent • A-Levels at ABC or BBB • Scottish Baccalaureate Pass • Int. Baccalaureate 29 points

• Foundation Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering in conjunction with SQA Highers at AAB (Mathematics desirable but not essential)

• A combination of qualifications totalling 96 SCQF credits at level 6 or Minimum 126 UCAS points

 

Year 2:

• SQA Advanced Highers at BB and SQA Highers at AAAB

• A-Levels at ABB

• HNC in a Construction related subject (or a relevant Modern/Technical Apprenticeship) with A in the graded unit

• HND in a Construction related subject (or a relevant Modern/Technical Apprenticeship) with B in the graded unit

• Scottish Baccalaureate Distinction

• Int. Baccalaureate 35 points

• A combination of qualifications totalling 96 SCQF credits at level 7
