We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Track Inspector - Depot Facilities to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our railway tracks and depot facilities through regular inspections, maintenance, and reporting.
- Conduct thorough inspections of railway tracks, switches, and associated infrastructure to identify defects, wear, and potential safety hazards
- Perform regular assessments of depot facilities, including maintenance sheds, storage areas, and equipment
- Utilise specialised track inspection equipment and tools to measure and analyse track geometry, rail wear, and other critical parameters
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, highlighting areas of concern and recommending corrective actions
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to prioritise and schedule necessary repairs and upgrades
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards
- Participate in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programmes
- Assist in the investigation of track-related incidents and contribute to root cause analysis
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in track inspection techniques and technologies
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance activities, and follow-up actions
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in railway track inspection or a related field with international engineering consultant for PMC projects.
- Track Safety Certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe
- In-depth knowledge of railway track components, systems, and inspection techniques
- Familiarity with depot facility operations and maintenance requirements
- Proficiency in using track inspection equipment and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous
- Proficiency in using computer systems for reporting and data analysis
- Understanding of railway safety regulations and standards
- Experience with depot facility maintenance is preferred
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various locations within the railway network
- Physical ability to walk long distances along tracks and work in various weather conditions
