- Design, plan, and oversee the construction and maintenance of railway tracks
- Conduct regular inspections to assess track conditions and identify areas requiring repair or upgrade
- Develop and implement track maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Analyse track geometry data and recommend improvements to enhance track stability and ride quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate track work with other railway systems
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to management
- Manage track-related projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline adherence
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in track engineering technology and best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in railway track engineering or a similar role
- Comprehensive knowledge of railway engineering principles, track design, and maintenance practices
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software for track design and layout
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for mapping and spatial analysis
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards in the railway industry
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Proficiency in project management tools and techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information clearly
- Basic understanding of railway signalling systems and their interaction with track infrastructure
- Professional engineering certification is preferred
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various project sites as required
