- Oversee and coordinate slab track design to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Perform detailed technical reviews of design drawings, calculations, and specifications to maintain design quality and consistency.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to address technical challenges or project constraints.
- Plan and manage design schedules to meet project milestones and delivery deadlines.
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the design process to ensure smooth execution.
- Serve as the main point of contact with clients for all slab track design aspects.
- Collaborate with other disciplines (Civil, Structural, Signaling, and Electrical) to achieve integrated designs.
- Liaise with vendors and contractors to ensure design compliance during procurement and construction.
- Ensure all designs adhere to relevant railway and safety standards (EN, AREMA, UIC, or project-specific codes).
- Conduct static and dynamic load analyses to validate structural and operational performance.
- Propose design optimizations for cost efficiency, durability, and maintainability.
- Supervise simulations, prototypes, and field validation tests.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive design reports, drawings, and calculation records.
- Report design progress and technical issues to project managers and senior leadership.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance and control measures during all design stages.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to enhance their technical proficiency.
- Organize technical training sessions on slab track design concepts, software tools, and standards.
- Address technical queries or issues during the design and construction phases.
- Provide on-site technical support during installation or construction when required
- In-depth knowledge of slab track systems, including design principles, material properties, and construction techniques.
- 10 years of relevant experience in railway or track design projects.
- Strong familiarity with international standards such as EN, AREMA, UIC, or equivalent railway design codes.
- Proficiency in design and analysis tools such as Midas Civil, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, or equivalent.
- Proven ability to perform static, dynamic, and fatigue analyses for safety and durability assessments.
- Understanding of Track-Structure Interaction (TSI) and integration with supporting structures.
- Awareness of slab track installation, maintenance, and inspection practices.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and client interface skills
