Role Overview
We are seeking a senior professional to lead our Tender Unit operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
As the Country Lead, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of tenders across all business lines and services in which Egis operates. You will manage a high-performing In-Kingdom tendering team, embed a strong focus on Transportation and Programme Management Consultancy (PMC) pursuits and act as a key strategic partner to Business Development, Delivery and Commercial functions.
In this role, you will coordinate the delivery of tenders in collaboration with the Tender Unit Service Line Partners. You will manage and guide an In-Kingdom tendering team, ensuring resources are well allocated, deadlines are met, and submissions reflect the highest standards.
Working closely with key Service Line stakeholders, Business Development community and Commercial teams, you will aid the delivery of a strategic and client-focused approach to secure key opportunities and build strong market positioning. Alongside this, you will mentor and develop your team, foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement and ensure compliance with internal governance. You’ll also track performance, manage risk and refine processes to strengthen our competitiveness in the KSA market.
Reporting directly to the Tender Unit Director for Middle East and South Asia, this role plays a central part in securing major opportunities that shape Egis’ position in the KSA market.
Key Insights
- Resource Allocation and Delivery Management – Lead and manage resource allocation, working with Tender Unit Service Line Partners to have foresight of tendering activity in KSA. Oversee multiple concurrent submissions, set clear priorities and ensure delivery against deadlines and strategic objectives.
- Client-Focused Tendering – Drive a strategic, client-focused approach to securing key opportunities. Work closely with Bid Managers, Business Development and Technical delivery teams to shape tender strategies that respond to client needs and strengthen Egis’ position in the KSA market
- Transportation and PMC Leadership – Lead a focus on Transportation and PMC pursuits as a core focus of the tendering strategy in KSA, complemented by focused efforts on building architecture and engineering design opportunities. Lead the development of tailored delivery models, positioning Egis as a strong and credible partner for major infrastructure and programme management projects.
- Mentorship and Team Development – Lead and mentor the In-Kingdom tendering team, building capability, accountability and operational strength. Foster collaboration and continuous learning, ensuring high performance and consistent delivery quality.
- Pricing and Commercial Strategy – Guide pricing strategy in partnership with Commercial and Finance teams. Ensure pricing models are competitive, profitable and aligned with market benchmarks and client expectations.
- Technical Storyboarding and Quality – Oversee the technical storyboarding process, ensuring submissions are structured, compelling and aligned with the technical solutions offered by each business line.
- Strategic Leadership and Decision-Making – Provide senior-level input on key tenders, offering clear recommendations on opportunities, risks and strategies. Take ownership of high-value tenders and drive their successful execution in line with Egis’ growth objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Act as a key partner to Business Development, Delivery and Commercial functions. Ensure alignment between teams and functions, promoting a unified and strategic approach to tendering.
- Tender Governance and Risk Management – Ensure all tenders comply with internal governance, client requirements and regulatory obligations. Identify and mitigate risks early to protect Egis’ commercial and operational interests.
- Performance and Continuous Improvement – Track performance against tendering KPIs, analyse outcomes, and implement improvements. Champion innovation and process enhancement to maintain a competitive edge in the KSA market.
- Degree in business, engineering, finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred), with significant experience in tender management, business development, and leading complex transportation and PMC tenders.
- Proven leadership in managing complex, high-value tenders, ensuring efficient resource allocation and team oversight.
- Hold an excellent understanding of the KSA market, client landscape and procurement frameworks.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with expertise in pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and risk mitigation.
- Experience in developing and executing client-focused tender strategies, tailoring submissions to align with key client needs.
- Ability to mentor and develop teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Strategic decision-making skills, providing insights and recommendations on business opportunities and tendering approaches.
