Team Leader - Road Project

The Team leader is responsible for the overall performance of the required services. His principal duties are as follows:

• Ensure the mobilisation of the technical team in accordance with the requests of the TOR of the project.
• Technical coordination of all the international and local experts based abroad and in PNG.
• Participate to recruitment of experts for short-term assistance missions to the Team if needed.
• Long mission on site in PNG in POM to follow up the progress of the Design Team.
• Ensure that the Team provide the services required under the contract.
• Organise and participate in project meetings internally and with the client, as per the Egis quality system.
• Issue instructions and directions to the Technical Team, as necessary.
• Liaise with the Client on matters relating to technical documents, performance of the teams, potential variation orders.
• Support technically the team.
• Regular report to management

• University degree in civil engineering or other relevant subject
• Experience as Team Leader for ADB (Asian Development Bank) or other International funding institutions.
• Exepricne of working in developing countries.
• Good knowledge and understanding of overall Design in road project.
• Knowledge of international design standards and guidelines such as AASHTO
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of technical matters
• Flexible, reliable and resourceful,
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Good conceptual thinking, analytical thinking, complex problem solving and decision making
• Strong impersonal ability, coordination, consulting and including negotiation
