Our Advisory Service Line is at the forefront of managing large-scale developments for some of the most prestigious clients in the region, including giga projects, municipalities, and other significant urban and real estate ventures. Our projects are focused on the early stages of development—such as feasibility, design, and planning—as well as post-delivery evaluations and optimization. With expertise in engineering, architecture, and technology, we shape the future of urban spaces and infrastructure.
Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and technically grounded team leader to head our India-based unit, part of the MESA advisory team. This role provides leadership across urban data, GIS, design, and environmental modelling, while owning early-stage planning inputs—including RIBA Stage 0 and 1 deliverables. The Team Lead will also drive real estate programming activities such as land use mix, GFA allocation, density strategies, and feasibility framing. This role requires the ability to operate across multiple planning scales, from regional strategies and district frameworks to site-specific and building-level planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of specialists in data, GIS/environmental modelling, and urban design.
- Act as the primary interface with MESA leadership to align workstreams with evolving priorities and project needs.
- Own and coordinate early-stage advisory deliverables related to RIBA Stage 0 and 1, including strategic definition and preparation of client briefs.
- Lead real estate programming: define land use mixes, GFA breakdowns, density allocations, and development phasing.
- Oversee quality of outputs including dashboards, spatial mapping, and zoning-based design visuals.
- Ensure on-time delivery, client-readiness, and coordination across all technical packages.
- Guide continuous upskilling of the team, including AI for data analysis and BIM/GIS integration.
- 12+ years in urban planning, architecture, or strategic advisory.
- Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong grasp of urban codes, planning policy, and early-stage feasibility studies.
- Familiar with RIBA work stages and digital workflows used for strategic briefing.
- Experience in real estate development, programming, or land use strategy.
- Master’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or Real Estate Development.
