About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical System Assurance Rail professional to join our organization in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and reliability of rail systems through comprehensive assurance processes and rigorous testing methodologies. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Develop and execute system assurance plans and strategies aligned with rail industry standards and organizational objectives
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and failure mode analysis to identify potential system vulnerabilities
  • Design and implement testing protocols to validate system performance, safety, and reliability across all operational scenarios
  • Document assurance activities, findings, and recommendations in clear, organized reports for stakeholder review
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure compliance with rail safety regulations and industry best practices
  • Perform root cause analysis on identified issues and develop corrective action plans with measurable outcomes
  • Monitor and track assurance metrics to ensure continuous improvement in system quality and performance
  • Review design specifications, technical documentation, and system configurations for accuracy and compliance
  • Participate in design reviews and provide assurance recommendations during system development phases
  • Maintain detailed records of all assurance activities, test results, and compliance verifications
  • Communicate assurance status, risks, and recommendations to project stakeholders and management

What do we need from you

  • Proven experience in system assurance, quality assurance, or related assurance roles within the rail or transportation industry
  • Strong knowledge of rail safety standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
  • Experience with system testing, validation, and verification processes
  • Solid understanding of RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Proficiency in documentation and technical writing
  • Familiarity with quality assurance tools and frameworks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Preferred: Certification in quality assurance, system assurance, or related disciplines
  • Preferred: Experience with rail signaling systems or rolling stock assurance
  • Preferred: Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 26262, ISO 13849)
