The activity includes toll road operations, weighbridge facilities, One-Stop Border Posts (OSBP), asset maintenance, customer services, and supporting corporate functions operating across two jurisdictions.

 


About the Role

The supply chain and logistics Specialist ensures that products, inventory, parts, or people move from one place to another efficiently and cost effectively. He/She works to plan, control, and implement the storage and flow of products, materials, information, or services. The Supply chain and logistics Specialist coordinates, organizes, and oversees all activities involved in the identification, acquisition, production, and distribution of the company's goods.

The position’s holder can’t be successful without complying with the relevant procedures, directives, and other legal requirements of the Quality Management System, fulfilling the accountabilities of this position in accordance with corporate policies, Egis’s core values, Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics Standards.

The main responsibilities are :

  • Planning and managing procurement, logistics, warehouse, transportation
  • Directing, optimizing, and coordinating the full procurement cycle, incl. compliance and onboarding of Suppliers
  • Liaising and negotiating with suppliers and manufacturers
  • Keeping track of quality, quantity, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Resolving any arising problems or complaints
  • Maintaining metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements. 
  • Overseeing the entire process of a shipment, from acquisition to delivery
  • Corresponding with clients, suppliers, warehouses, and transportation hubs to ensure efficiency.
  • Inputting and monitoring logistical software.
  • Finding more efficient ways to move or store goods and personnel.
  • Monitoring warehouse and storage functionality while products are stored.
  • Planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.
  • Directing, optimizing, and coordinating full order cycle
  • Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.

 


What do we need from you

  • Fluent in English
  • Proven working experience in Procurement/Supply-Chain and Logistics
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.
  • Proficient in standard logistics software
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
  • Graduated in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain
  • Knowledge of logistics software
  • Great communication skills
  • Critical thinking abilities
  • Problem solving skills.
