About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our Building Projects Design Management Office (DMO) in Amman, Jordan. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing structural systems for various building projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with local building codes and standards.

  • Develop and review structural designs for building projects, including calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Utilize advanced structural engineering software to model and analyze complex building structures
  • Collaborate with architects, other engineers, and project managers to integrate structural designs with overall project plans
  • Ensure compliance with local and international building codes, standards, and regulations
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and monitor construction progress
  • Prepare and review technical reports, including structural calculations and design criteria
  • Participate in design review meetings and provide expert advice on structural engineering matters
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of the DMO's structural engineering practices
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines and budgets

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification in Jordan
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering for building projects
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, and SAP2000
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and related software
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction materials and methods
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Proven experience in project management and design review processes
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal English
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being capable of independent work
  • Willingness to travel to construction sites as needed
