About the Role

We are looking for strategic thinkers who are looking for the opportunity to make a real impact in the aviation industry. Our clients include airports, ANSPs, governments and regulators, so the project work you do will be varied.

This role will involve providing strategic solutions to our clients so you should have a keen interest in, and understanding of, the aviation sector. You may be studying a numerate or business subject, preferably around aviation or a related subject, or currently be working in an operational or technical role, wanting to move to a strategic position. As part of this role, you will be supporting our customers in making key business decisions and to support the innovation and development of the aviation industry to make it more sustainable, cost-efficient and safe.

You will be responsible for providing systematic and structured analysis to our aviation project teams, so you must be able to clearly demonstrate your ability to analyse and distil information and to work in an independent and proactive manner to deliver value to our clients. As our clients are based worldwide, this role will provide you with the opportunity for international travel for face-to-face client interaction to relationships. Therefore, strong interpersonal skills are a must.

The consultancy environment can be very fast-paced, with opportunities emerging at very short notice that will require a flexible and agile approach to delivering excellence in consultancy services and exceeding client requirements. We have a flat collegiate structure and work in multi-skilled project teams, under the guidance of our senior staff.

Our philosophy is to encourage you to manage your own career and time – you’ll have far more autonomy than our competitors offer. We also have a clear and structured career development path which enables our staff to carve out a career based on their specific interests and skillsets. We work in partnership with our clients and partners, either in our offices or on client premises, and our work often has a real and immediate impact for our clients. This is something which our staff find very rewarding and, in return, we ask that you deliver amazing work and ensure that our clients keep coming back to us (currently 80% of our work is repeat business!).

We work hard but we understand the benefits to our staff, our clients and ourselves that a healthy work-life balance brings. We provide a professional, friendly and supportive working environment, supported by our technology, to enable flexible working whether in the office, from home or on the move. In addition to valuing family life, we have an active in-house social programme catering for a range of interests.

What do we need from you

Candidates must either be expecting a 2:1 or above in a numerate or business subject or have previous experience in aviation or transport disciplines. You must also have a keen interest in working within aviation.

Most importantly, you must be able to demonstrate excellent data analysis skills in practice, as well as thrive on problem solving and the application of your excellent critical thinking skills. You must have strong client inter-personal skills; it is important that you enjoy the prospect of client engagement whether in workshops, training sessions, one-to-one meetings or simply networking over coffee. Your written and verbal presentation skills must be of a high standard and strong report writing skills are a key requirement of this role.

Role ideally to be based in Farnborough but for the right candidate we could consider a position based in one of our offices in central London, Prague or Zilina.
