About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Site Traffic Engineer (Roads O&M) to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing traffic flow, ensuring road safety, and overseeing operations and maintenance activities for our road network.

  • Conduct traffic flow analyses and develop strategies to improve traffic circulation and reduce congestion
  • Perform road safety assessments and implement measures to enhance safety for all road users
  • Design and optimize traffic signal timing and coordination to maximize efficiency
  • Utilize traffic simulation software to model and analyze various traffic scenarios
  • Develop and maintain Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to improve road network performance
  • Oversee road maintenance activities and coordinate with relevant departments for timely repairs and upgrades
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of traffic engineering principles in transportation projects
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in traffic engineering and road operations
  • Ensure compliance with local and international traffic engineering standards and regulations

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in traffic engineering or a related field, with a focus on roads operations and maintenance (O&M)
  • Proficiency in traffic engineering principles and practices
  • Strong knowledge of traffic simulation software (e.g., VISSIM, Synchro) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong project management abilities and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical analysis tools
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Traffic Engineering certification (e.g., PTOE) is a plus
  • Experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and transportation planning is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with local traffic regulations and standards in Qatar is advantageous
