We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. In this critical on-site role, you will lead mechanical engineering projects and team, oversee installations, and ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Review mechanical design, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, calculations and submittals relevant to the Mechanical discipline activities for various industrial and commercial projects.
- Conduct on-site inspections and supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide innovative solutions
- Manage and mentor junior engineers and inspectors, fostering their professional development
- Ensure compliance with UAE building codes and authorities' regulations
- Implement sustainable engineering practices in project designs
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for stakeholders
- Coordinate with other disciplines, contractors and suppliers to maintain project timelines
- Continuously improve processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Over 12 years of experience, including substantial expertise in engineering consultancy and familiarity with UAE local building codes and regulations
- Proven track record in on-site supervision, project coordination, and management of mechanical works across diverse construction projects
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, their practical applications, Heat load and sizing calculations.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, piping, and industrial equipment
- Proficiency in CAD and BIM software
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Outstanding communication and leadership abilities
- Commitment to sustainable engineering practices and energy-efficient designs
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Willingness to travel to various project sites within the UAE
