Egis Projects Philippines Inc (EPPI) provide services to private sector entities involved in the business of building, operating or managing roadways, railways, and other transportation infrastructure projects.
The EHSS Site Staff plays a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) policies and procedures at the MLFF project site. This position is responsible for monitoring compliance with applicable Philippine laws, industry standards, and company regulations. The role involves conducting regular inspections, overseeing site activities, and promoting a safe and secure working environment.
EHS Staff
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, including the Philippine Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and related legislation.
- Monitor and implement measures for waste management, air quality, noise control, and pollution prevention.
- Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Enforce compliance with health and safety protocols, including those related to compressed gas, electrical works, underground services, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
- Oversee the implementation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) for high-risk activities.
- Ensure adherence to lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) and permit-to-work (PTW) procedures
Security Supervision
- Manage access control measures, incident reporting, and perimeter security protocols.
- Collaborate with the security team to address incidents effectively and recommend preventive measures.
Incident Management and Reporting
- Lead investigations of incidents and near-misses, document findings and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of incidents, unsafe conditions, and regulatory concerns.
- Maintain comprehensive EHSS records, including safety reports, permits, and compliance documentation.
Training and Awareness
- Conduct EHSS orientations, toolbox talks, and refresher training sessions for all site personnel.
- Promote safety awareness through regular campaigns and consistent communication.
- Ensure that subcontractors and vendors adhere to the company’s EHSS requirements.
Others
- Will perform any other tasks assigned to him/her
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree - Engineering courses (preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or Nursing
- Relevant work experience in environmental management, occupational safety and health, and security management for at least 2 years.
- Familiarity with the permitting requirements and mandatory report submissions.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of the Philippine Environmental, Health, and Safety Regulations and Standards (DOLE, DENR, DOH)
- Comprehensive understanding of Philippine occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
- Proficient in security operations within the Philippines, including knowledge of local laws, regulations, and security protocols.
- Can drive Manual Transmission Vehicle

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to safety management.
Certifications:
- Completion of 48 Hours DOLE prescribed training course for BOSH/COSH.
- Additional certifications in First Aid, Fire Safety, and Hazardous Materials Handling are an advantage.
- Completion of the DENR-accredited Pollution Control Officer Training Course or other training programs recognized by DENR-EMB.
- Has a valid driver’s license with restriction codes B, B1, B2.
- This is a site-based role that requires regular field inspections.
- May involve night shifts, weekend work and holiday works, depending on project demands.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and construction-related hazards is expected.
- This is a Project Based position with 6 workdays
