Role is full-time and based in our office in Bucharest, Romania.

Within our rail design department, we are looking for a signalling and telecommunication engineer to be part of our ongoing and future projects.

About the Role

  • Define and design the technical and performance characteristics of signalling systems and components and also technical specifications for the supply of products
  • Manage the relations with institutional Beneficiaries requirements, by mean of Standards, Guidelines and Technical requirements
  • Participating in working groups at national and international level with Egis Group Teams for research and design activities
  • Design and oversee the feasibility assessment of technical modifications to signalling/ telecommunication system components
  • Supervision of subcontractors / providers activities, in order to support the development of design deliverables
  • Develop and update list of quantities and method statements for systems
  • Support the PM and Project Team in the development of design deliverables.

What do we need from you

We recognize that each applicant will bring different experience, but the ideal candidate will have:

  • Preparation: higher education in Polytechnic, Transportation Faculty
  • At least 5 years of experience working in Romania in the rail/road installations design domain
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office, AutoCAD and dedicated design software
  • English language
  • Strong technical background in railway systems and multidisciplinary design coordination.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Communication ability. Ability to analyse and synthesize. Decision making capacity.
  • Ability to work under stress and extended schedule
  • Assuming responsibilities and maintaining confidentiality
