About the Role

As a Senior Engineer within our Infrastructure Team, you will play a key role in delivering complex Stormwater and Drainage Infrastructure projects and maintaining high standards of quality. You will collaborate with senior team members, provide technical expertise, and help ensure the successful execution of multiple infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering Stormwater and Drainage Infrastructure projects, supporting project leaders in achieving successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare and review detailed technical specifications, drawings, calculations, and engineering documentation.
  • Prepare hydraulic and hydrological reports, design calculations, and drainage studies.
  • Conduct technical and quality reviews of projects, identifying and addressing potential issues to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop and assess surface water drainage systems to ensure efficient stormwater management and compliance with local authority requirements.
  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling to support design decisions and evaluate drainage network performance.
  • Design stormwater drainage networks, culverts, open channels, detention/retention ponds, and flood mitigation solutions.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including roads, utilities, structures, and environmental disciplines to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
  • Support BIM implementation and prepare designs using Civil 3D within a BIM environment.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, design codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.

What do we need from you

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Stormwater and Drainage Engineering.

Technical Requirements

  • Experience in the design of Stormwater Drainage Networks, Surface Water Management Systems, Road Drainage, Flood Mitigation Systems, Culverts, Open Channels, and Sustainable Drainage Solutions (SuDS).
  • Working knowledge of relevant software packages such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, InfoWorks ICM, StormCAD, CivilStorm, and SewerCAD.
  • Experience and familiarity with the following programs are a plus: ArcGIS, MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow, Bentley OpenFlows, and MicroStation.
  • Prepare designs using Autodesk Civil 3D software within a BIM environment.
  • Knowledge of clash detection and coordination using software such as Navisworks, Bentley Navigator, and Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to stormwater management and drainage infrastructure.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and support the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in transportation, urban infrastructure, land development, and master planning projects.
  • Experience working on Middle East/GCC infrastructure projects is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with local authority drainage design standards and approval processes.
