- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and lifecycle management of locomotives, passenger cars, and freight wagons to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Provide expert technical support for all rolling stock engineering projects, including design, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of trains and related equipment.
- Ensure adherence to international and local standards, safety protocols, and regulations in all rolling stock engineering activities.
- Lead and manage projects for upgrading and modernizing rolling stock fleets, coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and in-house teams.
- Evaluate and implement solutions to improve the performance and reliability of rolling stock, including fuel efficiency, wear reduction, and passenger comfort.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to rolling stock maintenance, repair procedures, and technical specifications.
- Work closely with other engineering teams, including civil, electrical, and signaling engineers, to ensure seamless integration of rolling stock with the broader rail infrastructure.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to rolling stock operations, including safety risks, technical challenges, and operational disruptions.
- Bachelor's in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in rolling stock engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role within the railway sector.
- In-depth knowledge of the rolling stock technology, and local regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale engineering projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
- Native Arabic speaker and fluent in English.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
