About Egis in Ireland

With over 600 staff in Ireland across 16 offices nationwide, we are committed to enabling sustainable economic development and responding to the requirements of population growth while addressing climate change and reducing carbon emissions. I

The Egis engineering division is now almost 200 people strong across four offices in Dublin, Castlebar, Cork and Limerick. This role can be based from any of these.


About the Role

  • Provide day-to-day technical supervision and engineering guidance for transportation and active travel works.
  • Supervise construction activities including earthwork, pavement, paved areas, drainage, road safety, road furniture, and associated infrastructure in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Assist in the contract administration, progress monitoring, technical reporting, payment/quantity verification, change order and claim management, and achieving project objectives related to quality, time, and cost.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and technical correspondence
  • Monitor the Contractor’s work programme, construction methodology, quality control procedures, and progress to ensure timely completion of works.
  • Review and verify method statements, requests for information, material submissions, test results, and technical documents submitted by the Contractor.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable TII and NTA standards, approved project specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor quality assurance, site inspections, measurements, testing, non-conformities, and corrective actions and maintain proper site records.
  • Assist in managing day-to-day construction activities coordinate with the Contractor, Client, Team Leader/Project Manager, Design Team, authorities, and other stakeholders for resolution of technical and site-related issues.

What do we need from you

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5-10 years experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods. 
  • Experience with project planning, cost control and technical problem solving. 
  • Evidence of leading project and technical teams.
