We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor specializing in Roads Operations and Maintenance (O&M) to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of quantity surveying for our road infrastructure projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates for road maintenance and improvement projects
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost analyses for tenders and contracts
- Manage contract administration, including change orders, variations, and claims
- Perform value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success
- Monitor and report on project financial performance, including cash flow forecasts
- Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international best practices in quantity surveying
- Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors in the team
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures for all quantity surveying activities
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on roads operations and maintenance projects
- Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Causeway) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- In-depth knowledge of roads operations and maintenance practices
- Familiarity with construction contracts, procurement processes, and local construction regulations in Qatar
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
