Egis with its partners (altogether called METAV) have been appointed as Network Manager, to work closely with the client in managing the planning, design and construction of 3 new underground metro lines in Tel Aviv. The 3 new metro lines will total 149km and 109 metro stations to serve 24 municipalities. Key figures:
- Operational in 2034.
- Estimated 2 million passengers per day will benefit from the new metro network.
- €50bn euros estimated cost.
- Benefits to Tel Aviv: 30% increase in public transport use and €8bn in economic benefits to the local economy.
Egis is hiring in the Project Planning & Controls team as Project Controls Expert. This is a unique opportunity to deliver a project across all phases: design, construction until operation.
The Project Controls Expert will be responsible for:
- Reviewing, assessing, and preparing various Project Delivery Schedules, ensuring risk mitigation strategies are integrated into scheduling practices.
- Preparing monthly progress Reports for several packages, including risk assessment updates and identification of key risks impacting timelines and budgets.
- Participating in monthly and weekly progress meetings with clients and contractors to address project risks and discuss mitigation measures alongside schedule performance.
- Preparing and monitoring project tracking systems on a weekly basis with planning engineers, ensuring project risks are adequately tracked and reported.
- Providing critical path analysis for all packages and identifying potential risks affecting project timelines, with recommendations for proactive measures.
- Leading risk workshops to assess, categorize, and prioritize project risks in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Managing and developing the project controls team with a focus on embedding risk management into all aspects of project controls activities.
- Assisting the commercial team by supporting contractual claims with delay analysis and preparing necessary delay claims reports, including risk factors influencing claim resolution
- Professional with 15 or more years experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Previous rail experience is essential, particularly in metro / underground rail projects.
- Solid understanding of scheduling software for storing data and presenting schedules in various levels and forms of detail - Primavera, SureTrak, and/or other scheduling products
- Ability to interpret construction schedules.
- Experience in risk management would be an added benefit.
- Experience with Microsoft Office package.
- Excellent communication skills in English both oral and written.
- Able to lead meetings and present to the client.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our team culture is a must
