Egis is looking for Senior Project Managers to join our Railways and Systems team with demonstrated deep technical knowledge in railway signalling. This is an exciting time to join us as we are growing due to recent multiple significant project wins throughout Australia and New Zealand.
As a Senior Project Manager at Egis, your impact will be in providing project management and associate services on rail infrastructure projects for external clients nationally. Your work will be instrumental in delivering major, cutting-edge projects that make a difference to our clients and the communities we serve. In this opportunity, you will manage projects of scale across their full life cycle.
In this role, you will:
- Manage the delivery of projects ensuring scope, time, cost, safety, and quality outcomes meet the business’ needs
- Lead a team of project engineers, subject matter experts and/or consultants to successfully deliver project/s to meet client requirements
- Manage and develop funding submissions, project schedules, project plans, cost plans and cash flows within agreed budget
- Conduct and implement risk management and engineering throughout all phases of the project
- Determine the resource requirements of projects, including contractual and procurement strategies which are to be utilised for the projects
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, community groups, unions, government agencies and other stakeholders, in relation to the project and prepare regular project updates and monthly reports for Management
- Finalise projects upon completion, including the transfer of assets, closure of financials in compliance with the procedures
- Conduct the project audit and review and prepare the final reports for Management
Ideally, you will have demonstrated 10+ years’ experience in a similar project management role with specialist knowledge of railway signalling and its interfaces across broader rail projects.
In addition, you will also have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or a related field
- Expertise in rail projects, particularly in the management and delivery of railway signalling projects
- Demonstrated ability to project manage projects from inception to delivery within a multidisciplinary environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian railway standards and guidelines and ability to adhere to industry best practices
- Proven ability to manage budgets and financial responsibilities as pertains to the management of projects of scale
- Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving abilities
- Confident with computer software such as MS Office and project scheduling software/s
- Excellent client relationship management skill as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills
