About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Coordinator to support the delivery of a major waste sector advisory project in the UAE. The role will be primarily based on-site in Abu Dhabi and will serve as the day-to-day coordination interface between the client and a multidisciplinary team of senior experts covering waste management, tariff and financial analysis, infrastructure, institutional and regulatory matters, policy, benchmarking, data analysis and stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate must demonstrate solid knowledge of feasibility studies, infrastructure economics and tariff frameworks, and be able to understand, integrate and coordinate technical, financial, economic and institutional inputs across multiple project workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the day-to-day on-site coordination focal point between the client and the project team.
  • Coordinate activities and inputs across waste management, financial, tariff, infrastructure, institutional and regulatory workstreams.
  • Coordinate technical, financial and economic inputs required for feasibility and tariff-related assessments.
  • Facilitate effective communication and information flow between the client and multidisciplinary project experts.
  • Coordinate and follow up on data and information requests, technical comments, actions, decisions, dependencies, deliverables and deadlines.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of meetings, workshops, presentations and technical discussions.
  • Consolidate multidisciplinary inputs and support the preparation and review of project deliverables.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment between different technical workstreams and project outputs.
  • Identify coordination gaps, technical interfaces, information constraints and potential delays and escalate them to the Project Manager.
  • Support the Project Manager and senior technical experts in the overall delivery of the assignment.

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Infrastructure, Environment, Economics, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation or delivery of at least one feasibility study for a waste management, utility, infrastructure or comparable project.
  • Solid understanding of feasibility study components, including technical assessment, CAPEX/OPEX, financial and economic analysis, and implementation considerations.
  • Good understanding of infrastructure economics, tariff structures and cost-recovery principles.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultancy or infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to understand and coordinate technical, financial, economic and institutional information across different disciplines.
  • Strong client-facing, communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently in a client-facing environment.
  • Availability to work primarily on-site in Abu Dhabi.

Preferred Experience

Particular advantage will be given to candidates with experience in:

  • Waste management projects, including waste infrastructure, waste economics or waste sector advisory assignments.
  • Tariff development, tariff studies, charging mechanisms or cost-recovery frameworks.
  • Utility sectors, including water, wastewater, electricity, district cooling or other regulated services.
  • Financial modelling, CAPEX/OPEX analysis, cost-recovery modelling, affordability assessment or sensitivity analysis.
  • Infrastructure feasibility studies, business cases or investment appraisal.
  • Government, regulatory authority or other public-sector advisory assignments.
  • Previous project experience in the UAE or GCC.
  • Arabic language skills would be an advantage.
