The Senior Port Design Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing complex engineering projects related to port and maritime structures. This includes the design and analysis of foundations, retaining structures, quay walls, and other port-related infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both structural and geotechnical engineering.
For the Project(s) on which he is assigned,
- Lead the design and analyze port and maritime structures, including foundations, retaining walls, quay walls, and other related infrastructure.
- Analyze geotechnical investigations and site assessments to determine soil properties and suitability for construction.
- Develop and review engineering calculations, reports, and specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
- Follow / coordinate CAD and BIM production, including the following responsibilities: give instructions and guidance to CAD/BIM technicians based on the design performed, monitor production progress, ensure drawing production quality
- Ensure quality of design deliverables including calculation reports and drawings
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Prepare and present technical proposals to management and clients.
- Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and best practices in port and maritime engineering
- Be familiar and comply with the company’s Safety Policy and Quality Management System
The scope of Works covers, but is not limited to:
- Ports
- Quay walls
- Port structure foundations
- Jetties
- Dolphins, mooring points
- Retaining walls
- Other civil structures
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in structural and geotechnical engineering, with a focus on port and maritime projects.
- Registered Professional Engineer in Thailand is preferable.
