We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer - Site to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the planning and scheduling of large-scale construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using advanced planning software such as Primavera P6
- Analyse project timelines, identify potential delays, and implement mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure efficient resource allocation and utilisation
- Conduct regular progress reviews and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management
- Perform risk assessments and develop contingency plans to address potential issues
- Optimise site operations and logistics to improve project efficiency
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints
- Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to coordinate work schedules and resolve conflicts
- Implement best practices in construction planning and scheduling across multiple projects
- Mentor junior planning engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling, with a focus on large-scale projects
- Proficiency in project management software, particularly Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment, resource optimisation, and cost control
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven track record of successful project delivery within time and budget constraints
- Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent is highly desirable
- In-depth understanding of construction industry standards, site operations, and contract management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Willingness to work on-site and travel as required for project needs
