- Monitors project performance against performance baselines and Contractual framework.
- Manage the cross-functional coordination to ensure the smooth running of the project.
- Handle resource planning, milestone and scheduling of tasks. Report the delays and risks, and their impact to project schedule and budget.
- Monitor the progress against contract milestones. Assist Project Manager/ Resident Engineer on contract management matters. Maintain risk register in order to foresee possibility of occurrence and advice correction actions to the PM/ RE.
- Support the preparation of EOT and cost claims, variation orders, and claim reviews. Maintain a record of events which can be helpful to support claims
- Attends and chairs progress meetings and track outcomes and deliverables,
- Strong foreseeability to identify the potential risks/conflicts, and document them in the Project Risk Register.
- Evaluate & verify the planning and scheduling information from the updated / progress schedules, Identify the potential areas of delay/slippage, highlight the critical events & suggest mitigation measures / corrective actions / recovery plan.
- Use project control techniques to meet timely delivery of projects, minimizing claims and disputes between project stakeholders.
- Assess the time impact of each change, variation, and potential event at an early stage and provide alternative courses of action & advice.
- Manage a team of planning engineers from Sub-Consultant/Contractors.
- Interface effectively with all stakeholders, conduct presentations to the management.
- Provide response to Contractor’s notices using programme data, Contract provisions, reference to Construction standards/practices etc. and issue delay notices for the contractor’s culpable delay and/or slow performance letters recording areas where the contractor’s performance is behind the schedule.
- Verify measures of works completed and prepare/review monthly reports.
- Detailed assessment of the complex claims including Extension of Time, Disruption, etc. using leading forensic delay analysis methodologies including time impact analysis & window analysis, demonstrate the cause & effect of individual event and ability to identify the contractor’s concurrent delay.
- Preparation of Trackers / Logs to monitor critical issues, claims/notices etc. and maintain Contemporary records.
- Report to Resident Engineer and update on issues as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Proven expertise in Primavera P6 and other project scheduling software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Track record of successful project delivery within time and budget constraints
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, techniques, and project management principles
- Familiarity with UAE construction standards and regulations
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Professional certifications in project management or planning (desirable)
- Adaptability and resilience in handling challenging project situations
