We are seeking a highly organised and analytical Senior Planner to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and managing complex projects from conception through to delivery, ensuring that planning and project controls are executed to the highest standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed project programmes, considering risks and opportunities that could impact key milestones
- Collaborate with designers and clients to create robust and realistic schedules
- Review and optimise design and construction sequences, taking into account project-wide constraints
- Facilitate design and construction readiness planning
- Arrange and lead collaborative planning sessions with clients and supply chain partners
- Analyse and manage sub-supplier and contractor programmes to ensure compliance with best practices and contractual requirements
- Generate and interpret Earned Value Analysis from cost-loaded schedules
- Conduct monthly schedule updates and produce comprehensive reports
- Perform delay analysis to support claims and determinations
- Contribute to risk management by maintaining and updating the project risk register
- Participate in progress meetings with clients and sub-contractors as required
- Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures
- Provide expert advice on contract pricing and dispute avoidance
- Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline, or relevant experience
- Minimum 8 years experience in planning
- Extensive experience in project planning and controls within the construction or utilities sector
- Proficiency in project management software, particularly Primavera P6
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and working with cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient business writing abilities
- Familiarity with local regulations and planning processes in Egypt
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
