We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of the network infrastructure supporting large-scale Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Operation and Maintenance contracts. In this critical role, you will ensure the highest levels of availability across complex WAN and LAN environments, managing multi-vendor integrations to support the region's growing transportation infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
• **Architecture & Design:** Lead the design and architecture of complex ITS and enterprise network solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security across extensive road and tunnel networks.
• **SLA & Performance Management:** Conduct rigorous performance analysis and capacity planning to ensure optimal network performance, taking ownership of strict SLA frameworks and 99.999% availability targets for critical infrastructure.
• **System Integration:** Oversee the integration of multi-vendor network management systems (including Huawei e-Sight, NCE-T, and SolarWinds) with unified asset management and alerting platforms (such as IBM Maximo and Matter most).
• **Stakeholder Coordination:** Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including client representatives, subcontractors, and adjoining project teams (e.g., managing cross-contract interface boundaries and tunnel access switch responsibilities).
• **Documentation & Reporting:** Develop and maintain meticulous network topology diagrams, official technical reports, and baseline survey documentation in professional English.
• **Automation & Security:** Implement software-defined networking (SDN) and network automation solutions. Design and oversee robust network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• **Leadership & Continuity:** Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, manage vendor relationships, and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
What We Need From You
• **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• **Experience:** 8+ years of experience in network engineering and architecture, with a strong preference for backgrounds in large-scale ITS infrastructure and comprehensive O&M contracts.
• **Technical Mastery:** Expert knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS) and extensive experience with WAN technologies and optimization techniques.
• **Platform Expertise:** Proven hands-on experience with NMS/EMS platforms (SolarWinds, Huawei ecosystem) and familiarity with cloud networking platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• **Security & Automation:** Demonstrated expertise in network security (firewall configuration, VPNs) and proficiency in SDN and automation tools.
• **Communication:** Strong English communication skills, with a proven ability to draft high-quality official correspondence, technical reports, and explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• **Project Management:** Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to lead complex implementation projects and resolve interface challenges between differing scopes of work.
• **Certifications:** Professional certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desired. Familiarity with national transportation authority network compliance standards and best practices is a significant advantage.
