About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Architect to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our organization's network infrastructure to support our growing business needs and technological advancements.
- Lead the design and architecture of complex enterprise-wide network solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
- Develop and maintain network topology documentation, including diagrams, policies, and procedures
- Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and solutions to improve efficiency and capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network architecture with business objectives and IT strategies
- Implement and manage software-defined networking (SDN) and network automation solutions
- Design and oversee the implementation of network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning to ensure optimal network performance
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new products and services
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network infrastructure
What do we need from you
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in network engineering and architecture, with a focus on large-scale enterprise networks
- Expert knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS
- Strong experience with cloud networking platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proficiency in software-defined networking (SDN) and network automation tools
- Demonstrated expertise in network security, including firewall configuration and VPN technologies
- Experience with WAN technologies and optimization techniques
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead complex network implementation projects
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Professional certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desired
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with data center networking and architecture
- Familiarity with network compliance standards and best practices
