We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of mechanical systems for complex buildings and infrastructure projects. The role requires strong technical and design capability, and effective coordination within multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design across all stages including Concept, Preliminary, Developed, Detailed, and IFC documentation.
- Design and review mechanical systems such as HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, pumping systems, and fire protection in accordance with applicable standards.
- Prepare mechanical calculations, layouts, schematics, equipment schedules, specifications, and technical reports.
- Develop and manage mechanical BIM/Revit models and coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
- Review and evaluate vendor technical submittals and support technical decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with applicable international codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Participate in design coordination meetings, workshops, and technical reviews.
- Support construction-stage activities including responses to RFIs, review of shop drawings, and site technical support as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 12–15 years of experience in mechanical design for buildings, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, pumping systems, and fire protection design.
- Proven experience working with BIM/Revit in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Familiarity with international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, CIBSE, EN/BS or equivalent.
- Good command of mechanical design and calculation tools.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
