With our Hong Kong studio continuing to grow, we’re seeking an experienced Senior Lighting Designer to support major projects internationally and help shape some of the region’s most prestigious developments.
💡 About the Role
As a Senior Lighting Designer, you’ll take ownership of landmark projects from concept through to final installation, working closely with architects, interior designers, and clients to deliver innovative, sustainable lighting solutions.
You’ll be both a design leader and mentor, guiding the team while driving design excellence, technical rigor, and client satisfaction.
🚀 What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the end‑to‑end lighting design process on major projects
- Translate architectural visions into compelling, technically robust lighting concepts
- Produce and review lighting plans, specifications, and detailed documentation
- Mentor and oversee team members, managing workflows and technical output
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables
- Ensure compliance with building codes, energy efficiency, and sustainability standards
- Provide trusted expert advice to clients and stakeholders
- Support business development through design input for marketing and proposals
What do we need from you
- Higher Diploma or above in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
- Proven experience as a professional lighting designer with a strong project portfolio
- Ability to independently manage all project stages with clarity and confidence
- Strong leadership skills and experience mentoring junior designers
- Deep knowledge of lighting principles, technologies, controls, and best practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and client‑management skills
- Proven ability to juggle multiple projects effectively
- Ambitious, self‑motivated, and eager to grow
Software expertise:
AutoCAD, DIALux, Photoshop, InDesign, MS Office
Bonus skills in Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Lumion, D5 or similar 3D/rendering tools
