As a Senior Landscape Architect specializing in Design Review and Project Management for the project, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success and adherence to standards of landscape designs produced by external consultants. Your responsibilities will extend to the preparation of tender packages, reviewing technician tender submissions, and overall design management of assigned projects. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of landscape architecture, project management, and a keen eye for detail in design review.
Responsibilities:
Design Review:
- Critically review landscape designs submitted by external consultants to ensure they align with the project's goals, Program standards, and sustainable design principles.
- Provide constructive feedback to consultants, emphasizing adherence to local regulations, environmental considerations, and aesthetic aspects.
Tender Package Preparation:
- Lead the preparation of comprehensive tender packages for landscape projects, detailing design requirements, technical specifications, and contractual terms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure tender documents are aligned with project objectives and standards.
Technician Tender Submission Review:
- Evaluate technician tender submissions, ensuring compliance with design specifications, budget constraints, and project timelines.
- Collaborate with procurement and project management teams to select suitable contractors for landscape implementation.
Design Management:
- Take ownership of assigned landscape projects, overseeing the design process from conceptualization through construction documentation.
- Coordinate with external consultants, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate landscape designs seamlessly into the overall project.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and implement quality assurance processes for landscape designs to maintain consistency, excellence, and adherence to programs standards.
- Conduct regular design audits and assessments to identify and address potential issues proactively.
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of landscape designs with other project components.
- Manage communication between internal teams and external consultants to streamline the design review and approval process.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all landscape designs and tender packages comply with local regulations, zoning codes, and environmental standards.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals for proposed landscape projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Professional licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- 10 years of experience in landscape architecture, with a focus on design review and project management.
- Strong proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comprehensive understanding of sustainable design principles and LEED accreditation.
Experience:
- Proven experience in reviewing and managing landscape designs, including successful project completion.
- Demonstrated success in coordinating and collaborating with diverse project teams.
