We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex geotechnical projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions to our clients.
- Senior role in our regional geotech team
- Support Lead Geotech engineer in developing staff capabilities and growing the business
- Lead delivery of Geotech projects
- Lead and oversee geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design for large-scale infrastructure projects
- Develop and review geotechnical reports, calculations, and recommendations
- Manage project teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary groups, including clients and contractors
- Conduct site visits and field inspections to assess ground conditions and monitor construction activities
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Ensure compliance with local and international geotechnical standards and codes
- Develop and implement innovative geotechnical solutions to complex engineering challenges
- Contribute to business development efforts and proposal preparation
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in geotechnical engineering
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects
- Advanced knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, and Rocscience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent project management abilities and experience leading project teams
- Effective communication and report writing skills
- Expertise in soil mechanics, foundation engineering, slope stability analysis, earthquake engineering, and ground improvement techniques
- Familiarity with local and international geotechnical standards and codes
- Experience working in the Middle East region is preferred
- Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., American Society of Civil Engineers) is desirable
