As a Senior Flooding & Stormwater Engineer, your impact will be within our Queensland operations. The Flood and Stormwater team delivers a wide variety of projects from feasibility stage through to concept and detailed engineering design and construction support. Some of their focus areas include hydrologic analysis (catchment rainfall / runoff) and hydraulic (1D and 2D) flood modelling; flood risk and impact assessment; flood emergency response; dam break analysis, development of flood overlays for Planning Schemes and Local Environment Plans; stormwater and flood management policy and strategy; and the planning and design of integrated stormwater management systems.

You will be responsible for:
- Developing and reviewing hydraulic, hydrological and water quality models and calculations for application in flood studies, flood impact assessments, stormwater management plans and design of WSUD infrastructure.
- Manage a range of private and government sector projects involving direct client liaison, attending meetings, preparation of progress updates and data collation.
- Prepare and review technical reports.
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 4+ years’ professional experience with demonstrated technical expertise in flooding and stormwater engineering within a consultancy environment.
You will also have:
- Tertiary Engineering degree (Civil, Environmental)
- CPENG and/or RPEQ highly desired.
- Experience working in a consulting environment highly desirable.
- A good understanding/comprehension of common hydrological and hydraulic investigations, utilising software such as TUFLOW, MUSIC, WBNM, RORB, URBS, HECRAS.
- Experience in GIS software (eg QGIS / ArcGIS / MapInfo)QGIS.
- Experience with application of engineering calculations and software to support the design of WSUD infrastructure.
- Development approval experience (MCU/RAL land development / industrial environmental approvals).
- Demonstrated project management capability and client relationship management experience.
- Proven leadership skills and a desire to train, guide and mentor less experienced engineers.
