Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Senior Finance Controller to join our KSA Finance team! Based in our head office in Riyadh, the selected candidate will oversee all financial aspects, internal controls and project accounting for a wide range of engineering consultancy & design projects including PMC, Construction supervision and Design, executed by EGIS or in collaboration with international and local joint venture partners.
The ideal candidate will ensure financial accuracy, execute & support developing robust internal controls, play a pivotal role in the ongoing Oracle ERP implementation, work as Business Partner supporting the achievement of financial metrics, increasing profitability and improving working capital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Project Directors/Managers as a trusted advisor, providing financial, tax, accounting and costing insights to maximize profitability, streamline working capital, and drive business growth on landmark projects,
- Conduct monthly comprehensive assessments of projects budget at completion/forecasts, analyzing business cases, leading and contributing to regular projects reviews, identifying financial risks, and determining potential performance implications to ensure informed decision-making,
- Work closely with finance and operational teams to enhance project governance and controls, improve financial reporting quality, and instill robust financial discipline throughout the organization,
- Oversee, contribute and facilitate the completion of critical financial tasks for the assigned portfolio of projects, including unbilled revenue tracking, receivables management, cash flow monitoring, business planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk & change management (contingencies planning, Work at Risk, variation orders, etc.),
- Foster strong relationships with Project Directors/Managers through regular communication, ensuring project controls and financial requirements are met.
- Support the monthly and quarterly finance closing, internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely, accurate and exhaustive financial information.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of initiatives in KSA that enhance project finance controls and processes as a member of the country and regional finance controllers’ community,
- Contribute to the ongoing implementation of Oracle ERP, driving system adoption and optimization to enhance financial management and reporting capabilities,
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required by the role, supporting the finance team and driving financial excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field (master’s degree a plus).
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in financial controlling, auditing or financial management roles (Big Four experiences are highly desirable).
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and advanced Excel/Power BI skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and local Saudi accounting standards.
- Proven experience working in Saudi Arabia or other Gulf countries.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements in Saudi Arabia.
- Experience in a multinational corporate environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent in English, with Arabic language skills highly valued.
