We are seeking a Senior Engineer - Marine Structures to join our engineering team in Bengaluru, India. You will be responsible for ensuring structural integrity, regulatory compliance, and optimal performance of marine infrastructure projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to innovative solutions in the marine engineering sector.
- Perform high level technical quality works, to program and to budget and able to manage projects as required
- Attends client meetings as marine structural expert to discuss project requirements and maintain strong relationship with clients
- Liaise with the client and subcontractors to ensure the design work is delivered on time and to budget
- Coordinate with other discipline engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design process
- Supervise the work of project staff to ensure that technical competence and performance meets the project requirements
- Review project standards and documents to assure the submitted drawings and documents are compatible and aligned with the overall project objectives
- Peer review of consultant’s design package including technical report, drawings, calculations and specifications
- Peer review contractors’ submittals such as material, construction methodologies, subcontractor prequalification documents and others
- Review and validate designs from junior engineers, providing constructive feedback and technical guidance
- Stay current with industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices in marine structural engineering
- Support project execution from concept through commissioning, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
- University Degree in Marine / Structural / Civil Engineering
- 10+ years of related work experience in marine engineering
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the planning and design of marine structures including blockwork quaywalls, sheet pile, diaphragm walls, jetties, marinas, scour protection system
- In-depth Knowledge of port, marine and coastal engineering design standards and guidelines
- Knowledge of relevant marine structural design software such as Geo5, Staad Pro.
- Professional level in using MS Office Suite
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD
