We're looking for an experienced Senior Engineer - Highways to join our infrastructure engineering team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will lead the design, planning, and execution of highway projects while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and contractors to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions that meet project objectives and timelines. - Lead the design and development of highway projects from conceptual planning through construction completion, utilizing advanced CAD and engineering software
- Conduct comprehensive site analysis, traffic studies, and feasibility assessments to inform project planning and optimization
- Prepare detailed technical specifications, design drawings, and construction documentation that comply with Indian and international highway standards
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently while maintaining quality standards and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with government agencies, municipal authorities, and external stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and permits
- Oversee construction activities, conduct site inspections, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality benchmarks
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment
- Analyze project data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions
- Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and evolving highway engineering standards
- Prepare comprehensive project reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in highway engineering, infrastructure development, or related civil engineering disciplines
- Proven expertise in highway design, traffic engineering, and construction management
- Strong proficiency with CAD software, design tools, and project management applications
- Demonstrated experience leading complex infrastructure projects from inception to completion
- In-depth knowledge of Indian highway standards, safety regulations, and construction codes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisive recommendations
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in technical documentation, report writing, and stakeholder communication
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and GIS technologies (preferred)
- Knowledge of traffic modeling software and transportation planning tools (preferred)
- Familiarity with sustainable infrastructure practices and green highway initiatives (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineering teams (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively across organizational levels
